:the motronic engine has a cold start valve.
you can check the supply/return lines from the gas tank to see if there switched,its' happend to me twice. also the reference and speed sensor located on the bell-housing could be switched,the faster way of checking that is unplug them from the top where they connect near the firewall behind the afm. and switch them to see if that helps,but check to see if the fuel lines are not crossed first,just for a matter of deduction.the reference and speed sensor work in conjunction with the motronic brain to locate the t.d.c. of the pistons and advance for proper spark timing at engine speed. it also could be in the main relay not getting power. double check the main relay just to be sure it needs power from the acc.on lead.
