I am interested in locating a LSD for my 1981 528i. Can anyone explain how to determine what % lock up the unit is (assuming I locate one)?
If the lock-up is less than 50-75%, can anyone suggest either a shop that can upgrade the differential, or give me ideas on locating instructions / parts to DIY??
As you might guess, I almost put my "baby" in the ditch over the holidays when ice storm came in and forced me to drive home 200 miles in less than optimum conditions.
