Porting Exhaust Manifolds

For Troy and Paul:

Metric Mechanix will sell you these things for an astonomical amout of $$.

All you do is that the stock exhaust manifolds and take you trusty Dremel tool and start removing material inside the manifolds. Open up the holes too. Whatever you do will help. The thing I never understood was that you do NOT do anything to the head or the gaskets. Just the headers. MM says it has something to do with the way the gases swirl inside the manifold.

Hog it out as much as you dare, but be careful with the holes. Smooth it out too.

That's all there is to it.

Now the guys at Redline BMW in Pompano Beach,FL laugh at me, but there is a noticeable difference. Maybe we can get Tim Suddard to try both ways on his car, since he has access to Dynos which will tell the truth.
