I keep thinking "it worked before the clutch went in". (did you have to move or raise the engine when changing the clutch?).
Everything I know so far makes me think that something is unplugged or pinched. Unless you remember shorting something out when installing the clutch (was the car jump started?) , it just seems like it's physical. I would inspect the plug leaving the side of the distributor (pulse to ignition module) and the wires connected to it. Maybe hook up a test light across the coil and see if it blinks when cranked?
