Well.....
I took the car in Friday morning, all pumped up to have the new suspension installed.
Whoops.... They called me about two hours later with a HUGE laundry list of
items that needed to be done first.
In my younger days, I would've done most of it myself, but I guess I'm getting lazy.
If I can say one thing about Dinan, they are without a doubt the *most* thorough
shop I have *ever* been to with regards to inspecting a vehicle.
They pointed things out that I would have never noticed. Apparently as well, the mechanic I had (David Byus)
Is really good in this regard.
So, what I did was have most of the misc. items taken care of, and
I rescheduled to have the suspension mods done on the 17th.
One humorous thing.... I was not aware that the hose
set I had on the car was *original*. Holy cow, the
car has 129k on it and the original hoses????
And, they are in good shape??? wow. Dinan was very
impressed with the shape of the car. I"m the second
owner and it was *always* garaged by the previous owner.
I consider myself quite lucky to own this e12.
