: Could anyone tell me how to get the electrical part of
: the ignition switch out of the steering column? I got
: the lock cylinder out but can't seem to remove the
: rest of the switch. Help would be greatly appreciated.
As I remember, there's a brass bolt with the head sheared off that hold a plate that holds the switch assy. You have to drill out the old bolt and when you re-install you have to use a new shear off bolt (saftey, in accident, breaks instead of steering column impaling you). I think there are 4 small ones and 1 large (large one for switch plate, small ones for steering column; you need to remove 'em all)
