Can't help you with the tach, but for the LSD there are several options depending on your budget. The ultimate would be to send your diff. to Korman & have a Quaiffe unit installed. Semi-ultimate would be to get your hands on a factory LSD & have it rebuilt to 50-75% lockup (like the one already posted here). You could also get the ratio changed at this point. Factory was 3.46 mostly. Or you could just get a factory LSD & use it as is (only 25%-hardly worth it). The diff. case is commonly referred to as a "side loader" and they are available from many sources. Ratios 3.07, 3.25, 3.46, 3.64 should be fairly easy to find. Try Jason at Zionsville, Carl @justbmws.com, and other used parts sources.

: My 81-528 tach doesn't want to rev past 4000 rpm. I replaced the thach with a second rebuilt unit and it is doing the same thing. On the car it will repeat the problem even when wired direct. The engine is not affected in any way. It is running smooth. What is going on.
: I'm looking for a LSD for this car. Any info would be helpful on either item.
