hello every one in bmw land,
i've got a nightmare to tackle this time around and i'am wondering if any one out there can help.
it's time to replace the heater core. not easy i've tried unsuccsefully, the ac unit seems to be in the way. i have no idea how to get that out to access the heater core. chilten and hanes say leave to a qualified tech. well my shop out here will not touch it. to complicated for him. really he says it's a pain in the a--. side note my ac has been disharged, i'm waitng for a new compressor.any help is greatly appreciated. i thank you.
the other problem i have been having is i recently swapped out to a 3.5 motronic engine, and for the life of me i can't get it to idle correctly. it sits at about 800 rpm. then when it warms up it will drop 50 rpm. and lobe strangely like it wants to cut out. it passes smog readings bueatifully. but it feels like somthings not quite right. thanks again,
we have to do what we can to keep these beautifull cars going.
scotty.
