is the 733i a automatic? if it is then yes you can drop it into your car, the bell housing needs to be removed from the 733i if it is auto so that you can retain the speed sensor and reference marker locations. i just droped a 3.5 motronic int my 78' 530i. big difference over the ljet.if you live in ca.then you need to have the state restamp the bar lable.be warned though the 3-speed automatic will suck up gas like crazy with the bigger engine. move to a 5-speed standard.
