Greg,

I have installed the Metric Mechanic short shift kit in my 2002 and 528i.
No problems, works great! Even after 3+ years. But is kind of a pain in
the butt installing the original upper lever on it.

I recently installed the Korman adjustable short shift in one of my cars,
fairly easy install (no parts to assemble) but doesn't have the crisp feel of the
MM set up (shifting requires more effort) and with no bronze bushings, I expect to
have to work on it more often. You could substitute the nylon ones w/the bronze bushings
BMP sells but that adds $35 more to the cost of $209. Probably not worth it. And I will
probably never change the adjustment of the lever after the intial install.

By the way Metric Mechanic sold the short shifter business to Autosolutions so
MM is no longer involved (good/bad??)

Regards,
Frank
