First, I'm glad this board opened up...the E12 boards are a good source of info for me. I don't have an E12 yet (maybe in the future) but have big brother E23.
I would love to get 8x16 Alpina wheels all around for my '84 733i. But I was told the offset (24 mm neg) would give rubbing problems in the front with the tie rods and inner fender on a hard turn. Does anyone know if this might happen? I have run 7.5x16 850i wheels with no problem, but I don't know the offset. Your cover picture shows (I think) 8x16 Alpinas on the M535i, so I would think it would work on a 7. If real Alpinas don't work, does anyone know look-alikes that would? Any help would be appreciated.
