: howdo folks
: I have posted this problems several times, and have gotten some good advice, but nothing has worked so far. I have a squeek from the driver's side strut tower (sounds like it is coming from the rear speaker). The squeek is there on streets as i go over bumps, but quiets down on the highway. I have also noticed it go away after awhile in heavey rain! I have pulled the back seats and speakers, and have stripped the rear to metal, but nothing is loose there. I have ridden in the trunk, and iot seems like the rear shock moves sideways, and squeeks. Now all this points to bad rubber bushing somewhwere. So....i have changed the shocks, the mounting bushings, the spring purches, and nothing. I changed the sway bar end bushings to no awail. I have visiually inspected all the bushings underneath, but the left and right sides look the same, and i'd hate to pull the entire rear subframe for no reason. And before i do this i was hoping some of the big guns on this site would give me some help.

I have noticed this same problem. You could try
checking the emergency brake cable that rides under the cv joint.
