Well, I know that Bilstein made rear Sports at one point, because I have them. The HD in back with sports in front would not be too bad, you could always get a bigger rear bar if you needed to, but the big difference with the sports besides stiffness settings is the adjustable lower spring perch. This can be important depending on which aftermarket spring you go with, and what it's free length is.
: My '81 E12 needs sport shocks to go with Suspension Techniques springs and sway bars - I'm tired of porposing and the turn-in wiggle. Bilstein offers sports for the front but n/a for the rear. Anyone with experience with Bilstein sport fronts and HD rears? Is this OK with the lower ride height? Is there a better combo? Please note I have a conservative budget.
