They are black, vinyl, driver has a rip on the bottom cushion, passenger is great, both have plenty of padding, includes the rears too.
FREE. I can't use them and they are taking room. Email me at bimmerfan02 at hotmail dot com and I'll send you pictures. They are too nice to throw in the trash. _________________ Pierre in Camarillo

Pierre, not that I'm interested, but seats from 1979 back do not easily fit the '80-'81 cars. Do you know if yo have the old e12 seats or the e12-e28 version? _________________ John Savage

Early and late should interchange fine, just not the bases. _________________ Mike W.

I was able to install E28 front seats in my early E12. You have to use the early E12 seat brackets. The seats (E12 and E28) themselves have 4 6mm bolts on the bottom. The spacing of the 4 bolts is the same. In fact, the seats that came out of the car used to be in a late E12. This is the second seat swap I do on this car.
The rear E28 seats are turning out to be a bit of a challenge, at least the bottom section is. _________________ Pierre in Camarillo
