Car of the Month - March 2000
Cars of the Month
The Car of the Month for March belongs to:
Matt's 'trailer queen' will not will any awards for its good looks. It
won't win any
for superb mechanical condition either. But it works. After you get a
look at it, you'll realize what a amazing feat that is. The body and
engine have 240,000 miles.
Our Cars of the Month are often superb examples of the E12, however I
decided for March, we would get back to reality.
The amazing engine
According to Matt, look for his"modifications" such as
- Screwdriver holding weding radiator forward to help clear fan
- No fusepanel cover - broken drivers side hood spring always knocks it
now lost forever on highway
- No powersteering resevoir (pump failed, figured I'd take off the whole
thing while I was at it
- Silver strut towers, blue hood and fenders. Hrmm.
How about the interior - here is where the car really shines
