Model: E12 535i
Exterior Color: Alpine White
Steve's car is a Euro M535i that hails from the famous Heidegger dealership in Liechtenstein. For those who don't know, Max Heidegger promoted a BMW 2002Ti that was entered and WON the group 2 division of the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1975. This is of course not that championship car, but the awe of that event lives on with the Heidegger decals. For more background, see the link at page bottom.
Heidegger is not only a dealership, but an aftermarket tuner with a successful racing history. They are located next door to another tuner; Alpina. This is a genuine Heidegger car that has been driven hard as evidenced by the little scrapes and scratches.
She still appears fully ready for more battle.
Steve Writes:This Euro 5 was purchased for $600 back in 2000. It has been on the back burner for awhile now but I hope to start the restoration soon. I believe its one of a limited number of pre-M5 models produced as "Motorsport" versions. The shop I bought it from said the previous owner had brought it here from Singapore. Someone had already taken the motorsport emblems from the wheels, shifter and trunk spoiler. I do still have the original Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel and slightly wider BBS rims.
