Thanks, Tom.

Clearly the suspension as a whole bolts up (as you just verified)...I would assume individual pieces would bolt up independently as well.

Great information, thank you. That's what I was looking for.

Is there anything suspension wise that doesn't cross between chassis'?

So then are you implying the E12 springs will work without issue on an E12 based E24? The only reason I'm questioning it is due to there being different part numbers between chassis'. Thanks.

E12/early E24 suspension similarities/differences

I know the early E24's shared basically the same suspension as the E12. I'm curious as to what (if any) parts aren't interchangeable.

My father has an early euro E24 and we are both wondering what parts are/aren't shared.

Also, we're looking for lowering springs and a set of Bilstein Sports for ...

Can you give some insight as to why?

Also, since starting this thread I see that GC offers Eibach springs in whatever length/rate you request as well. I'd clearly prefer Eibach than some "no-name" brand.

That's what I have now. I'd really like to get roughly another 1" lower in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Needless to say this is all for aesthetics.

Why must the spring stretch from top to bottom with the strut piston fully extended?

Every set of coilovers I've ever installed had springs that were short enough that they were loose until the car was set down. I don't plan on any Dukes Of Hazard driving. lol

But joking aside, I have Intrax ...

For someone whom already has the Bilstein Sports installed, what is a good spring length to drop the car to help eliminate the wheel well gap? I already have lowering springs on it now but still have a bit of gap both front and rear (obviously more front than rear). I'm not looking to slam it, just ...

*EDIT* I noticed these springs were elluded to in another thread...but since these aren't coilovers, I figured they could be discussed here.

'custom' lowering spring?

I know the topic of lowering springs has been discussed on here...and I know most people have an incredibly hard time locating springs that allow the ride height to be dropped.

I accidentally came across this while looking for something else.

After fooling around with everything long enough, it looks like the headlight switch is bad.

It's not uncommon the winding that provides dimming is the problem. Before you go to a new one spray some contact cleaner on it and rotate it back a bunch of times quickly. Remove it to do this. Often ...

I pulled the bulbs and checked the plugs with a voltmeter and nothing.
