Plugged Injectors?

That will work,
In the glove box sits the ecu. The harness, just where it plugs into the ecu, has a single 1/4" connector that breaks out and connects to the car harness. This is where the coil tach signal is picked up by the ljet harness.
Unplug and connect the Ljet side to the negative terminal of the 69 Charger.
Connect the two car chassis together (small wire is fine).
Turn the key of the 528i to on.
Start the Charger. You should detect pulses with your noid.
Tap on the metal bodies of each injector (1/4" extension is perfect) until you here it click.
Repeat 5 more times.

Even if you don't free them all up, they will clear up once drive for a while.

I am trying to trace the trigger wire, which I am figuring is the single lead coming out of the ECU. As I'm checking continuity on that wire, (starting at the coil negative) it is showing continuity all through any ground on the car?is this the way your cars are? If someone can check for me That'd be great. It seems that isn't right as it is the trigger wire, so it seems to me it should be isolated from the ground. Thanks for all the input and advice everyone has given me!!!

You want to connect to the short wire that comes from the injection harness. The other wire connects to tachometer, ignition module and coil

finally figured it out. Yay!!

So, I fought this problem long enough and got to thinking the tach wire connects there in line with the signal wire, so I pulled the cluster out and OMG there was so much shit(literally) and rat fur(or is it hair) and little pieces of cactus, I started digging and it filled up one small garbage can and 1/2 again after I dumped it. There were a bunch of wires chewed up in that area. Hooked the tach wires back up(thanks to the heavens BMW labels their wires so good)and all the other 6 or 8 chewed up wires and it fired right off, after not being run for 4-5 years. It chattered for about 15 or 20 seconds then all was well even with old gas and 2 gallons of new gas. YAY now if I can just get that clutch pressure hose. I bought 2 on ebay from different sellers and they both came back at me saying they weren't in stock and I'd have to search elsewhere and they'd refund my money but it may take up to 14 days for me to receive the refund. NICE plus it said 2 in stock on one and 3 in stock on the other. Had to go through dealership, and as long as I was there I figured might as well go for the fuel hose change out.......The FAQ needs updated as the meter of the larger hose now costs $21.95 and the elbows are $10 the smaller hose was $10/meter. Pretty proud of that stuff. I'm sure I will have more questions so I thank all that helped me figure this out. Peace

Congrats.

If you don't get that clutch line this time around, you can make it using a braided brake line (or standard). I can send you a photo if needed.

Car sat for 22 years. Should have sent the injectors out for cleaning, but all's well now.
