I worked on both series & prefer The Rockford beachey life style compared to Kojaks New York approach.
Rockfords trailer/home was actually at Paradise Cove, in Malibu.
Kojak was shot on the Universal lot; ya know what I mean?
Both were nice guys, though. Jim Garner was a lil more relaxed, being from L. A., I think originally, or, at least for most of his life.

My kids bought my wife and I the complete Rockford Files series on DVD a few years back.

so over a year and i am still getting pm's from people who were ripped by these guys
