Rubber glue recommendations

Alpina steering wheel has a fancy rubber pad around the horn button. The pad uses metal clips in back, that little screws use to hold it to the wheel.

The clips were sunk in the rubber, not very well. What's a good black (?) rubber glue, or silicone, to stick the flat clips back in strong enough to hold the silly pad to the wheel ?

Find 3M 5200. Comes in black. May have to go to a marine supply store.
Cures very slowly (48 hours) but is amazing. Incredible bond and pliability. I'll have to do mine with this at some point, too.

I kept your correct answer. Just to be a cheap weenie, thinking the tabs are hidden, not stressed much, so far plain old silicone caulk is holding firm.

Probably right. Track yourself down a tube of 5200 though and start experimenting. Amazing stuff.

ANY silicone is an excellent adhesive, just not known for that. Usually used as a sealant, it remains *soft* as an adhesive when you need a fixative that remains so, unlike ACC or epoxy.
