Is the seal labeled 18 the seal that attaches to the hood fresh air scoop? This one is labeled for 530's 1976 and after. I cannot find the correct seal for the earlier ones. Does anyone know how they are different?


I am assuming this seal labeled 4 below is the seal that attaches along the firewall which i also need but my fresh air seal is in very poor condition.

I tried to get the first one for mine ('76 528), I placed the order but delivery date is unknown. That was about a year ago, in Europe.

It is my understanding that the first seal (hood) that you refer to is no longer available, while the second one (firewall) is.

I found a replacement generic seal for this and it worked like a charm. I have 45 feet of it left. The key is to reuse the factory ends and use weather strip glue to join the old to the new.
