gasket set interchangability question

so i have a 1980 528I that i bought a few months ago, blew a head gasket. Coolant was leaking out the side right under the #1 intake port, luckyly no liquid was getting into the oil, or the combustion chamber.
After the teardown it has been time for me to get a gasket set, but i can not seem to find one that includes all the gaskets (head, intake, thermostat, valve guide seals ect)
I got a complete set from my friends shop for my 84 318i and i was wondering if a complete set for a newer model M30 would work? maybe an e28 528i? im not sure what is different because im looking for a complete gasket set, i dont want to end up getting the head gasket that works but not the intake, or thermostat housing for example. My head has the round holes for coolant passages to the head.
Any input is greatly appreciated!

Plenty of complete Victor Reinz sets on eBay.

Parts are generally available, but US spec 528s are 528e's, not i's. They are M20 engines, not M30 engines, a similar design, but completely different with nothing interchangeable besides a few nuts and bolts.
