Hello again all,

Looking for the middle harness that connects the driver side mirror to the passenger mirror. There's three harnesses in total. I need the middle one (I think it runs behind the dash.)

If the harness isnt accessable I can use the male connectors on both ends that snap into the door harnesses in the footwell speaker area. They're 4 prong.

I junked my 80 e12 and forgot to take this part and now I have another 80 e12 that came with a driver side mirror only.

Any help is appreciated.

If you can't find a harness, then it is easy to make one. That's what I had to do. The BMW connectors are hard to find, so I bought male/female connectors and wiring.
Then behind the driver's side speaker is a connector used to connect the passenger side mirror to the driver door switch that controls the mirrors movement. Replace this connector ,build the wiring cable and thread it under the dash to the other side behind the pass. speaker. Build a short cable covered with shrinkrap to go thru the rubber plugs (couldn't get the wires thru the existing weather tube to the pass door). Then change the old connector on the pass door mirror and connect the cabling.
Note: couldn't get a connector thru the rubber plug, so had to just pass cable before adding the connector to the end of the cabling in the door.

Thanks man.

I bought substitute connectors and some wire from Radio Shack two weeks ago (approx) but Im so reluctant to snip the originals.

Bought the passenger door harness online from an early 7 series and was hoping to get lucky at least with the connectors.

I'll wait another week before taking the plunge. The extreme NY weather holding things up anyway.

If not I'll use your advise and go your route.

Thanks!!!
