Fan belt and various other problems

Hey folks. Just grabbed an e12 and I have my work cut out for me. Engine turns over but doesn't catch. PO left me a mess to clean up.

This is a NOOB question but can someone explain where which fan belts go on what pulleys? I see a crank, alternator, power steering and water pump pulley and two belts.

I've looked high and low for pics of the setup.

One belt, a 12.5 or 13MM goes to crank, water pump and alternator. The second goes from crank to P/S pump, 9.5 or 10MM. A third goes from crank to A/C compressor, a 12.5 or 13. Sequence is from the engine with the A/C closest to the front of the car.

So if you have no AC, the most forward pulley on the crank remains empty.

Thank you very much.

I'm pretty sure there is no A/C in this car.

Any idea on what the 'A' knob is? I think 'B' is the rear window defroster.

It may not be there anymore, but it came with A/C. Odds are most of it's there but the belt and maybe even the compressor are gone.

That looks like an AC console to me. If an E12 has AC, it is not integrated at all in the heating system. Right knob is rear defroster in my no AC equipped car. On A I believe I have the cigarette lighter.

'A' in my car is used as a medium for my stereo system, it acts as a 'fader' if you inbetween my speakers in the front and my speakers in the back.
