Always suspected my gas gauge's accuracy. Actually ran out of gas once and it was reading just below a 1/4. Today I tapped the gauge cluster glass and be d**med if the needle didnt drop considerably! What's up with that and any known fixes?

Thanks for the info Lenny. Glad to know theres a cure. I'll do the odometer while I'm in there.

My gauge was stuck at 1/4. Cleaning the gang-ground in the trunk which includes the sending unit ground fixed mine.
