Parts from an E12 to an E34?

Can the front struts, brakes, shocks etc. from a 76 530i be used on a 82 633 CSI or did things get changed from the 81 to 82 633CSI's ?

82/83 was the change from E12 to E28 chassis on E24s, so an 82 633 is still an E12 chassis. However not a whole lot will fit from a 76, it has solid brake rotors and 633s were vented front and rear. Shocks might fit but there were some changes along the run of E12s so they might not.

Thanks Mike. Still looking for something to do with the 530i that got hit. Too many good things about it to send it to the wrecker. Might try locating an early 633i shell or something from the early 7 series to make use of the parts.
