Hello All,

After getting back from V@V in May i noticed that the Power Steering belt
was very thin in Width.. Well It broke last week.. After close inspection
i saw that the Pulley was bent, i replaced with a good used one..
After i reinstalled the Pump i saw that the Pulley was still out of alignment with the crank pulley.. The power steering pulley is just a bit forward and cocked in.. All the Brackets look straight, and i dont see anything that
would cause this.. Has anyone had this problem, and ideas about how to Solve it?
I know i could use washers to space it back, but i dont think that i should
have to..

Thanks for your Help..

Not going to help much but I've got the same deal. On a '79 635 I took apart and cleaned major components, darned if the power steering pulley isn't in at 9 o'clock, side towards engine pulley, out at 3 o'clock, side towards battery.

I just did a 528 with no problems, no bracket or plate was bent on either one, I must know how the bolts go, but there it is. A long straight edge says it's not an optical illusion.

All I can thing to do is go back under there and find, adjust, bend back whatever is doing it.
