Why didn't my post show up?
All web browsers have a cache where they keep pages that have been recently
accessed. When you access a page that you have accessed before, the browser
may display the version in the cache instead of the new one. Browsers do this
to save time by avoiding needless accesses across the network. Your post most
likely did not show up, because your browser did not fetch the page from our
website; it simply pulled it out of cache.
You can solve this problem by changing your browser settings. In Internet
Explorer, do the following. Pull down the "Tools" menu and select "Internet
Options".  On the "General" tab, click the button that says "Settings".
Select the option that says "Every visit to the page".  Then click "OK' and
then click "OK" again.
Some ISPs use a proxy server.  Some proxy servers also cache pages. If your
ISP uses a "caching" proxy server, then you'll just have to click the refresh
button in your browser until your post appears.
How do I post a link to a web page?
At the bottom of the form that is used to post a message, there are two text inputs: "Optional Link URL" and "Link Title". In "Optional Link URL", type the fully qualified URL of the web page that you want to link to. Example 1: http://www.firstfives.org. Example 2: http://www.firstfives.org/mechanics.html.  Note: Web pages generally end in ".html", ".htm", ".jsp", or ".asp". In "Link Title", type any text that you'd like to use as the link title. If you type nothing, then the URL you entered will be used as the title.
How do I post an image?
Our message board does not allow pictures to be posted directly. Even if it did, we don't have the disk space to allow unrestricted posting of pictures. What you can do is to post a link to an image that is hosted elsewhere. See the answer to the question, "How do I post a link to an image?"
