More 5 speed conversion confusion

Getting more & more confused on my proposed 5 speed conversion. Mine's a '75 520i (4 cyl M10) with a 4 speed manual. I've been to RealOEM and it lists the Getrag 242 as my 'box with later 520i's running either 235 or 245. The FAQ here lists 265 as the box to use. Does this mean that the 245 is for 4 cyl and the 265 for 6 cyl?

Has anyone got a 5 speed 520i 4 cyl and have any advice? Please help, 2nd gear is getting harder and harder to change into and I've got a track day mid September!
