Haven't been tinkering with the car much lately, but kept feeling like I hadn't gotten the bang for buck expected from the short runners, so I re-read the faq, old posts and decided to fiddle with the timing...
voila! it's like a WHOLE different car now - I managed to find that nice smooth ramp up of torque in the 2k range I wanted - reminds of my 535is now.
Lesson is, check everything - including the thing you forgot!
