Has anyone been down this road before ?
My ’81 528i has been going through front brake rotors at an excessive pace lately. Used to be, I’d replace the rotors with every second set of brake pads, even though they seemed O.K. As cheap as they are, it was no big deal (cheap insurance). Lately, I’m lucky to get six months / 5,000 miles on a set of rotors. This has been going on for a while now and it’s getting a bit old to say the least. The calipers were rebuilt less than 100,000 miles ago. Any suggestions or pearls of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
