No earthshaking tips. If you jack the car up and the wheels spin freely in front, at least turn in back with no obvious binding, weird. When last rebuilt only counts if they are working properly.

Warp is heat induced as I know it. If the pads are retracting and you are not race driving, 5,000 miles is way goofy.

A performance brake friend advises not to change or surface rotors unless they are deeply grooved, warped or worn under spec thickness. The theory being: seating in new pads to the old grooves increases friction surface.

If they are binding anywhere, thats heat, you may want to check the wheel bearings too.
