I once had a Mercury Cougar doing the same thing, bad brake vibration after only a few thousand miles. I changed pads, new rotors, nothing helped. Checked the calipers, they didn't "feel" sticky, but they were holding just enough pressure against the rotor to cause one side to heat more than the other, hence the "warping". Rebuilt calipers from AutoZone (only $14, wish I could get them for the BMW for that price) and it was good as new. I'll bet it's the caliper.
