I am trying to recall. Is there not a separate switch where you set the time of the intermittent swipes? Usually there would be a rheostat type rotation switch for this. Both of my cars are in storage right now, so I am trying to recall this. If so, I would think the culprit would be that switch. If not, and the intermittent mode is simply one speed of swipes, then I think a new switch would be in order. If there is no rheostat control, then the intermittent would be managed by some sort of breaker in the switch assembly itself and replacing it with a JY (junkyard) switch might be the prevailing fix. Out of about 15 of these cars, I have never seen an intermittent delay not work right, but I also can't recall if there is a separate control on this item. Not having seen any bad ones, makes me think that the JY fix should be fairly safe.
