The best of the bunch is the autosolutions kit (the old Metric mechanic). I have 5 of them installed in my cars, Most on CR trannies. It has a very different feel and is much more precise and at least 1/2 the throw (or more) than a stock shifter. The bronze bushings in this shfter along with the heavier beefier shifter rod, make it last nearly twice as long as "other" brands I've tried.
I don't have a good opinon of UUC which in the old days basically sold a stock $25 bent Z3 shifter for a much upscale price like $99. Maybe they're better now, but I wouldn't buy one of those. Years ago that company had many issues, the partners split up, one left and formed Rogue engineering. If I was gong to buy a UUC style I'd go to Rogue to get it. He seemed much nicer to deal with at the time and they sell or sold nearly identical items at that time. Check it out. Ben Liaw has been around nearly forever and is a great guy to deal with.

I have installed a Korman SS kit, I don't like it much. It's adjustable so you can fine tune it to your taste, but I found out it's more notchy and doesn't have a good feel.
I've had all my SS kits installed for at least 10 years now. Really no issues with the autosolutions ones. Korman I wouldn't recommend.
