If you are still searching, take everything out. Lay in a carpet of towels or old bedsheet, close the lid and use a hose to simulate rain.
Whatever amount it takes to make the drips, wet spots to see on the towels.
The trunk steel allows water to flow under the back seat to the rear floors.
I doubt the reverse ( doors to trunk ) is true.
