Glas was bought out by bmw(i think) they had several cars that were bmws w/glas bodies. some very cool cars indeed. i wish i had one. anyways...the 'chrome(supposed to be chrome) lock strip around the windshield is exactly what its called...a 'lock strip'. it pushes/squishes the rubber around your windshield causing it to be water tight(like a ducks butt) if its old it could cause leaks. they are not to expensive and can be replaced at home.(w/out removing the rest of the rubber) i have done several in the past few years. and if nothing else it sure does make the car look soooo much better.
