My Eibachs look the same diameter ( spring thickness ) but lower coils, and both ends are wound to make flat rings. No ends sticking up, out.
No idea what the rates are, but isn't it mickey mouse to just saw off a coil ? Get the pressure hot spot from the sawed off end ?
