Well, I'm on 5 years of cut coils. After the initial drop of 1 inch and a few weeks of settling another quarter inch, the car has driven incredibly well. Very flat in the corners, not overly stiff.
And during that time, not one person has climbed under my car, snapped a pic of the coils and confronted me with:
Heey Duuude!!! Bogus Butcher job on those coils! Wassup w'dat?
My reckoning... if the Borscht Belt Engineers cut a coil, who am I to fly in the face of such powerful logic?
But, it did cost me a ton of dremel cutoff wheels.
