From the ETK -- Early e24 front strut/insert is the same as e12, the spring is different (a little stronger) but same dimensions. Early e24 rear spring is the same as the e12. All e12, e24 and e28 all use the same rear shock (which suggests that e28 rear springs are just a different rate).
Early and late e24 front suspension is not interchangeable.
Bilstein doesn't stock everything they will make. You can still have them make almost anything you want, just call 'em. It's not even crazy expensive.
For the front, maybe consider sweet talking Peter Mooney (Ok, you can probably just give him money) into making you some coil overs.
