I have run across a 1979 528i. Rough body only 100k miles with an automatic. Interior, stock alloys, front brakes will go on my 530i. I already have a 1981 vintage FI in the 530.
The big question has the big six ever been put in a 1600? Can it be done with cutting and welding? Does it make sense? I have been looking for a M-20 engine/trans donner, but this E-12 just came up.
