door lock question

I replaced my battery cables today and wire brushed some contacts. Not surprisingly, my automatic door locks are a little zippier than before. But one thing I wonder about is this: When I use the key to lock the driver door, should all the doors lock? I *assume* that they should but mine won't do this. I just want to know if it's broken or if I'm expecting too much.
