My international shipping on cameras has always been 1/3 that of UPS and Fedex, using the Postal Service. Global Priority has some tracking features.

However, I hear that Parcel Post really took a big hit in the recent postage increase. I have not shipped under the new rates. Prior to that, a package that cost 100 with UPS and Fedex was about $35 USPS and by Global Priority, took 4-7 days. Never lost a deal.

Another point of consideration however, is that if you mail it, it could go off the radar in customs for up to 30-45 days. Had that happen a couple of times, but both surfaced (one a $700 camera out of sight for 30 days) before filing a claim. I understand that is one of the reasons UPS charges more (But 3 times???), because they do their onw customs inspections somehow.
