testing the water

Listen to this story: Last year I picked up a 77 e12 I saw sitting outside of a auto repair shop for months. It had a blown lower end that was already removed from the car. After a visual inspection, I saw the car had very minor rust, r.s. rear dogleg, and surface rust due to played out paint(reseda grun-metallic light green). Anyway I bought it.
It now sits under a carport, interior stripped(seats, carpet, door panels, all door inner mechanisms), 4 spd and d'sft removed, front suspension and axle carrier removed, most outer body mouldings removed. My plan was to change to chamonix or other white color and reassemble, with a 5spd. BTW, I found misc. papers upon disassembly with California addresses from the late 80's. It has no accident damage. Here's the problem. I was injured on a consruction site in December(broken leg and 2 fractured vertebrae).
I don't think I'll finish it, especially if the workman's comp. insurance company surveils me. Is anyone interested in it.
I am in northern NJ.
