I've been using 10-30 in my big six since I've had it. I think in an older engine the Cold 10W rate is excellent for getting "better" oiling up top when starting. I also think 30W should be more than enough for everyday driving...

Haven't had any problems with my newer 3.5 using 10-30 either!
