Opinion: I think option 3 is best. get the new head, use your euro cam and spend the least $$$. If this lasts for even only 50K miles, you could do it again and still be on the plus side moneywise... Is the bottom end of that motor new? If not that's even more reason Not to spend the large $'s on the MM head.
As for the "turbulance" machining of the head(ports)... When I worked on Formula Ford heads we ported and polished all the ports. we went back and forth on wether the smooth walls vs. rough made a big difference. It was hard to tell on the dyno. so I'd say leave the original casting alone unless you really want to make the ports bigger...
