No rot, no diff mount either.

The diff mount tore through the sheet metal. A huge
crash and then the muffler was dragging. I got out
and the diff was seperated from the mount by >5 inches.
The rear tires are angled inward, alot. When I jacked up the
diff they slowly went back to normal camber. On close
inspection of the torn mount it appears that the
back two bolts had torn through long ago, no shinny
metal, and the front two first bent the ELS outa the
mount and then tore through the sheet metal. My car
has a salvage title, I guess thats where the original damage
occured. Another haunting thing is that after the diff failed it
was being held up by the driveshaft, which has a huge indention
where the majority of the weight rested, and it broke off a weight
that was welded to it. I do have photos, except I have to go home
to take them off my camera, I'm still at work. Hopefully I can figure
how to post them. You'll dig them, I have a really small digital
and I caught some good shots of the damage. Give me
two hours...
