It's a shame as they aren't cheap and it's complete evac and refill each time.
Funny how a lot of american cars will run 10 years without a hitch.
I bet a lot of these systems were dealer installed or repaired and were never very clean.
I am told that R134 is not compatible with the older dryers.
I think the part # changed the last time I bought one but could never get a clear answer from anyone as to compatibilty.
I'm tempted to install a small filter/dryer downstream from the receiver. So if the receiver craps out, at least I don't have to tear out the evaporator.
