There was a topic a couple of days ago about a 530i that backfired when it was stomped on. I'm having the same problem, and I was wondering if we could re-open the discussion.
All of people said it was because the car needs an O2 sensor, but I was wondering if there's a deeper anwser out there. What I mean is my car until recently wasn't doing it, and now it's doing it, so there must be a cause other than the lack of an O2 Sensor. What will cause this imbalance to start? Bad plugs? Clogged injectors? Bad air intake, any ideas will be appreciated.
And if I were to install an O2 sensor, how would that be done? what is the donner car? What kind of mods are needed?
