First, drain all the oil/fuel out of the system(s) Do not be surprised if the gasoline is rancid (or worse case maybe turned to jelly). Then pull the return fuel hose in the engine compartment and get the fuel pump running to flush the lines.(and pray they are clean). Do not be surprised if the injectors are clogged/misfiring at first....

Then you might want to pull the valve cover and make sure the valves are opening correctly and not stuck open. Remove all the plugs and turn the engine over by hand (to make sure the rings aren't stuck).Then squirt some oil in the cylinders and turn it over on the starter (to build oil pressure).

If all goes well --then try to start the car.

PS: I actually did get an old healey to start after sitting for 30+ years once (had to rebuild the head/carbs/flush the fuel system etc.....
